About InnerNote

Who makes InnerNote, how it is built, and the standard every health page on this site is held to.

InnerNote is a private journal for the iPhone, made by InnerNote AI Co. Ltd. You write the thought you're having now, seal the page, and over the weeks see how you think in your own words. Your first seven days include everything. After that, one subscription keeps writing, replies (a short reply under a page you choose, in your own words), InnerSelf and InnerWork (five twenty-one-day courses of guided audio) open; without one, every page you have written stays yours to read.

How it is built

InnerNote is local-first. Your pages live in an encrypted database on your phone, locked behind Face ID or your passcode, and there is no copy of your journal on our servers. Your words leave the phone only when you ask for a reply on a page, or when InnerSelf, once you allow it, reads your pages for a reading: only those words are sent, encrypted, read once and never stored by us. How it's built says exactly what leaves the phone and what doesn't.

Editorial standards

Hypnotherapy and mental health are health subjects, and we write about them with care.
